Back in the late 80s/early 90s, the Singapore National Stadium a.k.a Kallang Stadium was very popular as many people watched the
ASEAN Football Championship (formerly known as
Tiger Cup). We have the famous Fandi Ahmad, Abbas Saad, Thomas Ong, Steve Lee and many famous soccer players back then. Whenever Singapore plays a match, the citizens of Singapore would start a wave to cheer for the player. That was call the "Kallang Wave"...
